Assistant Salon Manager

We are looking for a Tanning Salon Assistant Manager to help run and coordinate day-to-day activities.

The responsibilities include recommending discounts, maintaining updated records of expenses and revenues, promoting our business on social media, and managing personnel shifts. To be successful in this role, you should be interested in beauty trends and familiar with salon operations. Your role will help build a profitable salon business that offers a quality customer service experience.

Schedule:

  • Full-Time, Monday-Saturday
  • Start Time/End Time based on salon hours
  • Schedule TBD

Attributes of a Strong Candidate:

  • High School diploma required
  • At least 2 years of experience working at a Tanning Salon
  • Must have strong skills in the following software/programs:

Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Internet, T-Max, MindBody, Fit-Body Wrap, Pura, My Lipo, Red Light Sauna, ‘Group Me’ app, ‘When I Work’ app, Cryotherapy Chamber

  • Influential with negotiating skills
  • Skilled in multitasking and prioritizing multiple duties and deadlines

  • Ability to Successfully Pass and Complete Cryotherapy Online Certification within thirty days of hire date.
  • Must Successfully Pass and Complete in-House Procedure and Equipment Usage Assessment within thirty days of hire date.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure each customer is greeted warmly and provided excellent customer service.
  • Address and promptly resolve client concerns as they arise.
  • Maintain effective communication with co-workers, Salon Manager, and clients at all times.
  • Oversee and administer tours of the facility to new clients, providing a clear understanding of the designed use and capability of each machine.
  • Educate staff and clients on the products and services offered and provide recommendations.
  • Utilize Mindbody to organize client information, run reports, failed autopay's and when necessary, send clients to collections.
  • Monitor and implement safe practices to be always followed, by all employees.
  • Proactive in seeking to implement opportunities for improvement in practices, policies and procedures.
  • Keep Salon Manager apprised of any/all maintenance calls or needs.
  • Provide training and mentorship to set new employees up for success.
  • Lead the staff by setting an example of excellent service and business conduct.
  • Full ownership of front desk organization and cleanliness.
  • Efficient in managing time to complete assigned tasks from Salon manager, while continuing to provide clients with excellent customer service.
  • Run and complete Failed autopay list 3 times a week.
  • Efficiently maintain, organize, and prompt follow up on all Outlook items.
  • Run and complete Failed autopay list 3 times a week.
  • Send clients to collections and perform chargebacks
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of cleaning checklists during shifts.
  • Work independently and productively while keeping open communication with Salon Manger and staff.
  • Record and report all attendance discrepancies to Salon Manager.
  • Count money and receipts made from sales, balance the cash drawer, and deposit money in safe at the end of shift. Verify staff has completed this properly as well.
  • Bank deposits and change as needed.
  • Attend weekly check in meetings with Salon Manager, while also completing weekly task follow up and staff updates via Outlook emails.
  • Regular attendance and timeliness.
  • Record meeting minutes at Monthly Team Meetings alongside Salon Manager.
  • Balances all management duties listed above while also maintaining sales associate responsibilities as needed.
  • Assist and provide feedback for all interviews and new hires.
  • Assume job responsibilities of Salon Manager as needed. This will be the exception, not the rule.

  • Perform other duties as directed by management.
