Bonneville County Sheriff's Office Notice of Patrol Positions
The Bonneville County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications from qualified applicants who are interested in potential employment as an Idaho P.O.S.T. Certified Patrol Deputy.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to apply:
21 years of age
U.S. Citizen
Education:
- High School Graduate
OR
- GED
OR
- High School Equivalency
OR
- Minimum of 15 college credits

Note: Applicants who have used marijuana, in any form, within one (1) year of the assessment date, will not be eligible for consideration for a position with the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office.

Qualified applicants will be contacted to set up appointments for the following assessments:
Written Exam: Applicants must demonstrate ability to perform essential job functions by correctly answering at least 60% of the written assessment questions.
Physical Readiness Test: Applicants must demonstrate their ability to pass the P.O.S.T. physical standards listed below:
Vertical Jump greater than 14 inches
Minimum of 15 sit-ups in 60 seconds
Minimum of 21 push-ups
300-meter sprint in less than 77 seconds
1.5-mile run/walk in less than 17:17
Applicants will be contacted to schedule the above assessments.
Applicants who have met the above standards will then be considered for additional interviews, background investigation and polygraph exam.
