Architectural Technical Designer

Bona Vita Architecture is seeking a full-time, experienced Architectural Technical Designer to join our team.

Ideal candidate will be a hard-working, self-motivated, analytical, problem-solving, detail and deadline-oriented individual to join our technical design team in the fast-paced technical department.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree in Architectural Engineering Technology or similar
• Revit 5 years
• AutoCAD 5 years
• 2-D Drafting & 3-D drafting
• Design skills and conceptual skills
• Microsoft Excel, Word
• Experience in the construction industry
• Thoroughness, analyzing information, multi-tasking skills, capable of working in fast-paced work environments

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to prepare architectural construction document drawings for contractors, schematics design, design development & construction details by reviewing sketches, descriptions, specifications, and supporting documents, conferring with engineers and architects
• Prepares construction details by developing 2-D & 3-D drawings based on hand sketches taken from a field survey or from sketches & notes given from a project manager or architect.
• Complies with legal requirements by adhering to codes and regulations
• Experience coordinating with outside consultants such as structural and MEP engineers
• Must be able to use time effectively and productively
• Must perform quality, accurate, complete, well-organized, concise, analytical and well-articulated work
• Must be able to communicate, understand and follow directions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
