  • Location: Atlanta, GA
  • Requirement: 5+ years of multi-unit operations.Three to five years of foodservice management experience, preferably in a university/college-type campus.

Job Summary

The Director of Operations drives excellence in the service and experience of cafe and micro kitchen operations. Identifies, motivates, trains, develops and directs team members to deliver exceptional service and accomplish goals and projects. This position oversees the administrative and operational tasks,

including implementation of programs, financial management and analysis, sanitation and safety as well as sets the standards for FOH operating systems and QA standards, hospitality, mentoring and development. This position reports into the VP of Operations and will leverage their strong communication, hospitality and operational skills to partner with key stakeholders.

· Be responsible for the overall safe, efficient and appropriate management of operations

· Oversees implementation of operational initiatives

· Manages and mentors toward business goals, ensuring the maturation and training of our team

· Monitors and manages all financial responsibilities

· Meeting budget and financial projects as they arise

· Ensures all sector and Compass employee guidelines are implemented and adhered to

· Treats everyone with professionalism, care and respect

· Tours Cafés, overseeing, training and assisting with front of house merchandising

· Communicates with the our partner honestly, accurately and in a timely manner

· Ensures teams work within budget while maintaining standards

· Contributes to the successful opening of all new Cafés

· Meets all timelines for quarter and year-end reports given by our partner and Sector Employer

· Works closely in conjunction with the Culinary Director and Culinary Team

What we look for in the perfect candidate

· Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Hotel/Restaurant or Business Management is preferred.

· 5+ years management experience supervising senior managers

· Multi-unit restaurant or hotel experience

· You’ll be able to take complex business issues or initiatives and apply creative problem solving & strategies for timely implementation

· You’ll be a natural coach with genuine concern for employee engagement, success & wellbeing

· You are a strong decision maker who drives for results

· You have the natural ability to influence and operate in a matrixed, complex & ambiguous environment

· With your strategic mindset, you will plan for growth over a number of years
