Summary:

The Health and Wellness Benefits Consultant is responsible for the day to day account management for mid-sized to large clients that are moderately complex.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following list of duties and responsibilities are examples of the work successful candidates will be asked to perform. Candidates may not be involved with all of these functions as a regular part of their duties.


  1. Manages an assigned book of business. Builds, expands and solidifies relationships with existing clients.
  2. Manages multiple, sometimes complex, consulting projects and leads appropriate resources to address the client's needs.
  3. Secures existing business and drives the sale of additional services.
  4. Cultivates relationships with the most senior buyer in the client organization, as well as with day-to-day client representatives and key stakeholders.
  5. Has retention goals for an assigned group of accounts.
  6. Coordinates the work of analysts, administrative support and the client service team.
  7. Supports Senior Consultants and is the first line of contact when a Senior Consultant is not available.
  8. Responsible for the day-to-day account management for routine/ moderately complex client accounts.
  9. Assists with the training and development of Benefits Analysts.


Education/Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; with 5 or more years of client consulting and/or coordinating experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Certificates and Licenses:

Maryland Health and Life Insurance License.
