Monday - Thursday 6:00AM - 6:00PM

Tuesday - Friday 6:00PM - 6:00AM

Friday/Saturday 6:00AM - 6:00PM & Sunday/Monday 6:00PM - 6:00AM

RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY:

The Production Supervisor reports to the Site Manager. He/she will lead the development, implementation, and application of Bluegrass and customer’s production systems in a demanding manufacturing environment. He/she must have the ability to work with quality, production team members and suppliers on various projects ranging from production to field performance. He/she must have strong interpersonal communication skills in order to establish and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally. The Production Supervisor also assists with part assembly when needed. The ideal candidate takes pride in his/her hands-on and analytical abilities, organizational skills, and understands the importance of details. MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS (Skills & Abilities)

- Abide by and promote Bluegrass’ Core Values at all times

- Manage production team members and continuously develop teams

- Support and assist with or lead cause investigations and administer and track corrective action

- Ensure that quality standards are being met at all stages of the production process

- Maintain professional communication with customers

- Communicate supply and material needs in order to ensure flow of production

- Identify proper channels of escalation and communicate production needs when needed

- Track attendance of the production team lead and team members

- Communicate quality issues with production team members as needed

- Prepare and deliver accurate shift reports to the designated group following each shift

- Coach and document coaching and discipline for all team members and team leads

- Flexible and available from 6 (AM OR PM) until 6 (AM OR PM)

- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and demands

- Strong analytic problem solving skills

- Ability to work well under pressure while managing customer demands and deadlines

- Experience managing production teams

- Experience with a broad variety of inspection techniques

- Ability to train new team members on all aspects within our facility

- Knowledge of MS office programs with strong knowledge of Excel

- Able to perform repetitious duties while standing for long periods of time (up to 12 or more hours per shift)

- Knowledge or JIT inventory controls

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

A Production Supervisor can work in any range of environments, from a climate controlled space to a warehouse or factory floor where temperatures can vary from extreme cold to extreme heat. Production Supervisors must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time (up to 12 hours) on unpadded floors and will continuously be required to bend, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, push/pull and grasp. Additionally, Production Team Members will routinely be required to lift or carry up to 30 - 50 lbs. Eye/hand coordination is also require. Exposure to chemical hazards, electrical hazards, sharp objects/tools, noise and vibration are anticipated.

TOOLS AND/OR EQUIPMENT USED:

Material handling equipment and lab instruments are generally used.

EDUCATION:

A Bachelor of Science degree or higher is preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE:

2+ years of previous leadership experience in automotive manufacturing
