Appliance Installer - Driver (Boise)

POSITIONS: Appliance Delivery Driver for an Appliance Delivery & Installation Service

SCHEDULE: Full-time regular; Monday-Friday. 6:00 am to 4:00 pm or until the route is complete. Some OT will be required as a result.
LOCATION: Boise, ID and Surrounding Metros
COMPENSATION: Paid training -- No Experience necessary. Hourly -- $19.00 to $23.00/hr DOE + performance-based incentives and contests.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• No Appliance install experience is required (but preferred); the employer will train
• High School diploma or equivalent required;
• To be a driver -- Minimum age is 26 due to insurance purposes but we do hire 18-26 as journeyman/assistant to learn the trade
• Prefer previous box truck driving experience
• Able to lift and carry 100lbs+ consistently in a team lift with aides
• Able to read, write and speak the English language sufficiently to communicate with the general public
• Hand/eye coordination and hand dexterity required
• Excellent customer service skills required
• High attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• For Driver role: A clean MVR (No DUI ever and no moving violations for 36/48mos)
• The company performs a criminal background check and drug screen due to US DOT compliance and insurance carrier requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Picking up a routed day’s deliveries on an assigned route at the warehouse at 6:00 am
• Loading deliveries onto the truck after verifying items pulled for delivery
• Follow a predetermined route according to timelines using a mobile device-based application
• Install appliances, including:
• Installing refrigerators and connecting water/ice maker lines
  • Installing Ice makers
• Installing ranges and cooktops
  • Connecting range gas lines and electric cords
• Installing washers and dryers
• Installing over-the-range hoods and microwaves
• Installing trash compactors
• Perform haul away of old appliances to be scrapped
• Perform proper operation of a phone application for tracking and reporting
• Complete paperwork to ensure:
  • Proper verification of all app-based selections during the route day
  • Safety and operating condition of vehicles
  • Acceptable completion of the job
