Job Description:

Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization Implementation Office (EHRM-IO) as a senior change management (CM) project manager supporting post go-live/sustainment change management activities. Activities include:

  • Supporting site change management (SCM) activities
  • Developing and managing relationships with site change leadership teams
  • Identifying and addressing downstream and upstream change impacts
  • Supporting distribution of 508 compliant SCM sustainment artifacts
  • Identifying and supporting CM activities related to release management 
  • Maintaining sustainment online repository with sustainment artifacts
  • Reviewing and providing recommendations/feedback regarding deliverables submitted by Oracle Cerner
  • Identifying and mitigating risks
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to advance CM sustainment initiatives for the EHR program
  • Supporting CM sustainment activities as appropriate

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience. An additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements
  • Strong leadership, written/oral communications, analysis, data gathering and organization skills
  • Experience managing Information Technology related projects
  • Well versed in life cycle and project management methodologies 
  • Experience in tracking costs, schedule and performance progress
  • Able to identify and mitigate risks
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least two years of CM experience and/or CM Certification
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record use or implementation
  • Experience with the VA
  • Experience supporting the federal government
  • Experience with strategic communications


  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust clearance for this role

Salary Range:

$105,000 - $130,000
