BlueSun is currently recruiting for temporary Administrative Assistant position for the Department of Revenue in Salem OR.
Performs technical and administrative support work for the tax programs administered by the Corporation/Estate Section, including the corporation the corporation excise/income tax program, the estate tax programs and both Tri-Met and Lane Transit District Self-Employment Taxes. Support is provided to both internal and external customers.
Administrative Support duties:
Responsible for primary phone coverage for the corporation income and excise tax direct phone line. Explain laws, rules and procedures on a regular basis in person, by telephone and in writing.
Responds to taxpayer requests related to account problems or processing adjustments by phone, email, Revenue Online, mail, etc. Evaluates account problem(s), identifying the problem/error, possibly requesting additional information and resolving the problem/error.
Identify and resolve problems with payments, company names, affiliates, periods, addresses, etc. by completing transactions on system including but not limited to: moving payments, correcting names, correcting or adding registration information including addresses, etc. Also calculating interest and other amounts necessary to resolve problems with converted data into the GenTax system.
Must pass background check and other pre-employment screenings.
