Job Description

Position: Wedding Sales Manager

Reports To: Director of Sales & Marketing

Job Description: The Wedding Sales Manager position is responsible for selling, coordinating, and executing wedding events and achieving or exceeding sales goals while maintaining the highest level of guest satisfaction.

Duties

  • Responsible for all weddings, receptions, ceremony rehearsals, dinner rehearsals, and wedding tastings at Blue Harbor Resort & Conference Center.
  • Effectively field sales leads, calls and inquiries as given with a professional and timely response.
  • Manage and monitor wedding websites.
  • Make presentations to clients and prospective clients.
  • Secure business that is a good strategic fit for Blue Harbor Resort & Conference Center.
  • Schedule and organize site tours on property and plan all wedding tastings.
  • Execute & supervise day of wedding and reception by coordinating and working with other resort managers and internal resources.
  • Create and coordinate a productive and memorable wedding client experience.
  • Negotiate and execute contracts on a timely basis.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients and leads.
  • Input all activity in Resort Suite and report progress weekly to Director of Sales & Marketing,
  • Coordinate all Wedding BEO’s and communication with internal departments.
  • Monitor, review and report on all sales efforts, activity and results to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Responsible for reviewing and handling final invoicing for clients.
  • Conduct post-event follow up review with clients.
  • Communicate and coordinate with outside vendors.
  • Participate in group sales meetings.
  • Assist with event operations and coordination as needed.
  • Attend local and regional tradeshows as required.
  • Available to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of Hospitality, Event or Meeting Planning experience.
  • Strong presentation skills to represent the venue professionally and successfully.
  • Organized, professional, positive and pleasant demeanor.
  • Good financial acumen.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Able to multitask and stay organized with several ongoing clients and events.
  • Works well with others. Good conflict resolution skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and strong computer knowledge.
  • Network of existing clients and working knowledge of Resort Suite a plus.
