Job Description

 Position: IT Manager           

Reports to: General Manager

Job Purpose: Day to Day operation of Information technology systems.



  • Execute planning, implementation, upgrades and maintenance of all technology-related processes and systems to include all equipment, software and hardware.
  • Produce all strategic and tactical IT related business plans to support and collaborate the Resort’s business growth and strategy. 
  • Create and execute to assure optimum performance of all software and hardware, correct deficiencies, malfunctions and irregularities.
  • Implement procedures and processes designed to ensure that data back-up and emergency recovery operations are in place to protect database from loss or damage in the event of a system failure or an emergency situation.
  • Manage user accounts, user security within Active Directory.
  • Assist end users in diagnosing and resolving computer-related issues.
  • Maintains an up-to-date network security system, including firewalls.
  • Maintains up-to-date system operations manuals by documenting all inventory, system processes, procedures, and operations.
  • Must be available to respond and address network and system outages in an emergency.
  • Maintains the Resort’s cable system, phone system and WIFI assuring accessibility and proper set up. 
  • Develop and oversee IT department capital and operating budgets.
  • Maintain relationships and manage contracts with vendors, consultants and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements relating to software licensing agreements.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all aspects of their work.
  • Insure proper integration and interoperability.
  • Keep current on changes, up-dates and enhancements.
  • Enters all requests/activities into the ticketing system and categorizes, prioritizes, assigns, escalates, and troubleshoots them for tracking and visibility.



  • Associate or bachelor degree in information technology field
  • Progressive experience or at least 3-year experience in resort setting
  • Knowledge of ResortSuite PMS and resort specific IT systems
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and Server 2012-2019
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 2016
  • Operating system installation
  • General Knowledge of Website HTML coding  
  • General knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange server, KVM, Vmware 
  • General knowledge of Audio Visual Equipment 
  • Must have a strong work ethic, organization skills, the desire to learn and is not afraid to ask questions
  • Basic Cat5 cable wiring 


Working Conditions

  • Most duties performed in usual office conditions with standard office equipment, computer, copier, fax and phone
  • Use of computer requiring frequent mental and visual attention; and able to lift carry ~50lbs servers power supply
  • Ability to work on your own and be on call occasionally
