Quality Engineer –Improvement Facilitator:

BluPerspective is currently searching for a Quality Engineer.We are looking for a team oriented, professional, and technically proficient individual that is self-motivated. This person should be able to work in a cross-functional team environment and at an individual level with exceptional efficiency.

The ideal candidate should have an extensive work history within the Quality Engineering field which exhibits complete understanding and commitment to quality methodologies and thorough problem solving capabilities.

Summary:

The Quality Engineer – Improvement Facilitator responsibilities include inspection data analysis, process analysis, following problem solving methods, leading cross functional teams for problem solving, and identifying and driving correctiveactions to closure. This includes working with customer and Blu Perspective leadership, along with support and engineering functions to identify and solve problems related to the root cause/s.

The Quality Engineer – Improvement Facilitator will be responsible for completing all applicable problem solving documents, follow up on actions, verifying closure and maintaining ongoing status updates to the customer to assure goals are being met.

Job Description:

· Work directly with Inspection leadership to evaluate each specific defect, analyze reported data and prioritize issues for problem solving activities.

· Manage and facilitate problem solving activities for each prioritized issue, including cross functional team development and management through the problem solving process.

· Gain full understanding of production processes that relate to products that are being inspected and any issues that are being found through the inspection process.

· Work with inspection leadership and applicable customer functions to identify, implement and solve root causes related to inspection and production processes.

· Validation of corrective actions that were identified through the problem solving process.

· Weekly status reports on activities and results related to the project scope, progress on actions and improvement activities, and presentation of data to confirm the improvements are addressing root cause/s.

· A process and systemic driven approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

· Work directly with inspection leadership to maintain inspection accuracy, including changes when root causes are corrected and eliminated.

· Assist in evaluation of PFMEA and Control Plans for the specific products and processes to assure accuracy and thoroughness, asit’s related to the required product inspection project.

· Assure completion of any applicable documentation (PFMEA,Control Plan, Work Instructions, Process documentation, etc.) and training that is a result of the problem solving process.

Education and Experience:

Preferred

· Bachelor degree in Engineering (preferred Quality, Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical)

· 10+ years of quality engineering experience in the Automotive Industry with emphasis on manufacturing.

· 10+ years of proven problem solving experience (8D, 5 why, Fishbone, Is/Is Not, etc.).

· 10+ years of experience with Process Flow, PFMEA and Control Plan development.

· 3+ years of experience with metal machining processes (i.e. CNC, drilling, etc.)

· 5+ years of experience with assembly processes

· 5+ years of experience with inspection processes

· Proven experience with Industry Quality Standards and Statistical Quality Control.

Minimum

· Associates degree in Engineering (preferred Quality, Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical) or 5+years in Automotive Quality Engineering role.

· 5+ years of proven problem solving experience (8D, 5 why, Fishbone, Is/Is Not, etc.).

· 5+ years of experience with Process Flow, PFMEA and Control Plan development.

· 1+ years of experience with metal machining processes (i.e. CNC, drilling, etc.)

· 3+ years of experience with assembly processes

· 3+ years of experiencewith inspection processes

· Proven experience with Industry Quality Standards and Statistical Quality Control.

Language Skills:

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, product engineering drawings, procedures, work instructions. Etc.

· Complete required reports and correspondence to customer leadership.

· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
