We are looking for a qualified Senior UX Designer to join our team in Arlington, VA. You’ll be working on exciting new projects, including a full suite of marketing and product sites. A strong ability to distill complex problems into simple, elegant solutions is key to success at our company. Identify and troubleshoot UX problems
Use quantitative and qualitative data to identify opportunities for improvement
Solve compelling problems while owning user experience design across all platforms – web, tablet, and mobile
Work closely with stakeholders to understand and define UX and XD goals for new and evolving features
Communicate user experience designs and drive alignment with teammates and stakeholders from concept to final design
Lead whiteboarding, user testing, iterations, A/B testing and have a strong understanding of UX design principles.
Develop light-weight prototypes and other discovery tools.
Quickly develop, iterate, and maintain user flows, lo-fi + hi-fi mockups, specs, and implementations.
Create process flows, site maps, wireframes, solutions, and prototypes while iterating based on your research, team feedback, and user feedback to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors for multiple environments and audiences.
Collaborate with other designers, developers, analysts, writers, researchers, product managers, project managers, and marketing department teams to understand and define UX direction.
Responsible for mobile responsive web sites and applications, prototypes, UX libraries, web style guides, and overall user experience design.
Work in every phase of the product development lifecycle (except coding) to create intuitive products.
Work across the lines of Project and Product Management, UI, UX, design, and QA.
Assist with usability testing, user interviews, stakeholder interviews, and user surveys.
Degree- Bachelors’ or Masters’ Preferred- Or Equal Experience.
Portfolio of demonstrated UX strategy and design projects.
Strong understanding of UI and UX within the Development Process.
Strong understanding of collaboration with a software and web development team throughout the lifecycle.
Understanding of, and passion for, interaction design principles.
A data-driven approach to user testing and lean production principles.
Excellent time-management and organization skills.
Identifies priorities and plans accordingly.
Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Proficient in Photoshop, Zeplin, WordPress, InVision, Adobe XD, Sketch and working on a Mac with intermediate skills in CSS and HTML.
Advanced Skills: Persona Development, Information Architecture, using secondary UX Research.
Advanced Skills: High-Fidelity prototyping in Axure, Sketch, Adobe XD or InVision.
Knowledge & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Design (HCI, Multimedia, Graphic Design, etc.) or equivalent industry experience.
5+ years of UX work experience.
Experience working closely with marketing, research, engineering, project, and product management teams.
Ability to design at all stages of development while integrating ongoing user research, building from concept and rough sketches to prototypes to final user-facing product.
Knowledge of Scrum Agile or other Agile/Lean methodologies.
Expertise in managing multiple projects and/or clients at once.
Experience in B2B or Tech environment a PLUS!
