Paraprofessional Needed for Remainder of 2023 School Year- Near Allentown, Pennsylvania

We are currently Paraprofessional to work with a school district near Allentown, Pennsylvania. As a contract employee you will be paid a competitive hourly rate that includes both direct and indirect services. Weekly hours each week are also guaranteed. More details about this position are below.

• Job types:

  #1) Emotional Support Interventionist: will provide direct, intense support focusing on helping students learn to respond to daily environment. Emphasis will be placed on a child's current needs, functions, and support systems as they relate to social emotional learning.

  #2) Instructional Associate: This position will provide behavioral interventions and support instructional models in the classroom.

  #3) Instructional Assistant: This position will have the responsibility of assisting the classroom teacher in instructing and supervising students.

  #4) Job Coach: Responsible for providing training and support for students involved in community-based vocational instruction and preparing them for the school to work transition. There are both full time and part time openings for this job type.

  #5) Vehicle Assistant (Bus monitor): Primary responsibility of assisting the driver in providing safe and courteous transportation of students. Assists students entering and exiting the vehicle. There are both full time and part time openings for this job type.
  

  Required or Non-negotiables: (Numbers below correspond to Job #s above)

  #1) BA degree in Juvenile Justice, Social Behavior, or related field preferred but would consider Associates Degree with minimum 1 year, preferably 3 years, of experience in fields noted

  #2) Associates or Bachelors Degree. One year experience in Human Services or Education, preferred. Obtainment of 06 Substitute Teacher Permit after hire, preferred.

  #3) High School Diploma or GED. Associate Degree or Highly Qualified Status, preferred.

  #4) High school diploma or GED. Excellent driving record. Experience with transporting students, preferred. Must have a valid drivers license.

  #5) Valid drivers license, preferred. Experience working with children, preferred.
