BP Executive Staffing is looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer for our client at an American educational publishing company and one of the "big three" educational publishers that publish educational content, software, and services for pre-K through postgraduate education.

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will be expanding Connect to put new learning tools in the hands of instructors and learners. You will be the linchpin of the product – the technical expert for the product, sales, marketing, and business teams and the product expert for the technical teams. By combining intimate knowledge of customers, strong analytical skills, and technical acumen, you will drive a holistic product vision that energizes your teammates and delights your customers.


  • Build web-based responsive learning tools that will be used by millions of learners and educators
  • Actively developing, scoping, and deploying new features (using AGILE) by partnering with cross-functional teams.
  • Work with engineers, product managers, designers, and sales and marketing managers to build products that customers love to use.
  • Be responsible for end-to-end delivery (tech design, development, and testing)
  • Create new systems flexible enough to accommodate future changes as well as be able to understand, fix and improve code from other engineers as well as adapt to changes in web development.
  • Curiosity to continually improve your craft, and enjoys sharing knowledge with the team, including mentoring less experienced software engineers.
  • Demonstrated software development experience with a distributed product & engineering team.
    Ability and desire to work in various layers of the software stack (front end, backend and database)
  • Experience working on cross-browser platforms and experience with Test-driven development.
  • Willingness to learn and expand the technology stack to support the end-to-end product development cycle. Preferred languages experience: Java, Angular, RESTful Services and CI / CD pipeline.
  • Experience in building responsive, accessible and high-performance products/applications.


The average base salary range for this position is around $140,000 – $150,000 annually, however, base salary pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, such as a company provided vehicle, depending on the position offered. This information is provided per the New York City Pay Transparency Bill and the Colorado Equal Pay Act.
