Job Description Administrative Assistant (CJAG) Black Creek is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to assist the VP of the Criminal Justice Applications Group. The Criminal Justice Applications Group (CJAG) is responsible for the support, development, and maintenance of inmate management software designed to reduce the cost of operations for correctional facilities throughout the United States. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provide administrative assistance such as writing emails, drafting memos, answering calls, and preparing communication Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe products (Excel, Word, MS Project, Access, Adobe Acrobat Professional, etc.) Compose correspondence and documents with correct grammar, spelling, and sentence structure Maintain comprehensive, accurate records and documentation - both hardcopy and electronic Organize meetings, send reminders, and prepare documents and materials for meetings Manage and coordinate calendars and appointments Interact with customers and visitors via phone, e-mail, and in-person Create analytical and statistical reports using Excel and other reporting applications Prepare projectors, documentation, and materials for presentations Prepare reports and/or conduct special projects, which may include data collection, data analysis, coordination, distribution, etc Take detailed meeting notes and distribute to participants Coordinate travel arrangements and catering requirements Maintain inventory of installed applications and customer contacts database Participate in the recruitment and onboarding process of new employees Maintain employee training records Maintain departmental policies and procedures as directed by management Maintain professional composure and appearance Possess time management skills with the ability to be flexible and work on multiple tasks at a time Proven ability to work in a team environment Open to learning new skills and a desire to build proficiencies Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail Ability to be proactive and self-directed Additional administrative duties as necessary Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses Minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative office setting performing complex, highly detailed work under deadlines High school diploma required Associate or Bachelor's degree in a business major such as Business Administration, Accounting, Marketing or Finance preferred Experience with, or familiarity with, a software development department will improve candidacy Working at Black Creek In addition to offering competitive compensation, we offer a generous benefit package that includes: 401(k) retirement plan Vacation/personal time program Paid holidays Health & dental insurance Life insurance Long term disability insurance Tuition reimbursement program Work week that allows Friday afternoons off when working in the office Company Description Black Creek Integrated Systems is a leading national supplier of highly sophisticated computerized electronic security and inmate management systems for the corrections industry.
