BizyBee Professional Staffing is seeking a Counselor I, for one of our clients located in Prince George’s County. The Contractor shall perform the services set forth below under the general direction and supervision of the Prince George’s County Health Department.
1. Direct Counseling Services – provide face to face individual, family group counseling or crisis intervention to clients with drug, alcohol and related mental health problems
a.) Responsible for working an 8-hour daily schedule from 8:30a-5p
b.) Provides billable direct contact clinical services to program clients in an appropriate modality
c.) Conduct comprehensive assessments on clients entering treatment to determine appropriate placement according to ASAM placement criteria.
d.) Provide services within the scope of the privileges to practice allowed by license/credentials held.
e.) Maintain and manage a caseload with a maximum of 18 Level II/I and a minimum of 18 Level I clients with all required documentation as required by State/County policies and regulations
f.) Conduct individual sessions with Level II/I Clients at a minimum 2X/month.
g.) Implement appropriate crisis intervention strategies for the welfare of clients and families
h.) Consider continuity of care and client’s well being when planning time off
i.) Arrange for coverage of groups and clients prior to leave request approval
j.) Maintain a case load sized according to COMAR regulations. Schedule five (5) intakes weekly and prepare treatment recommendations before next scheduled case staffing.
2. Indirect Counseling Services Provide non-direct communication to clients, family or crisis intervention services (any non-face to face services). Maintain Electronic records for each assigned client. Maintain case files with relevant up-to-date information using appropriate forms, status reports, evaluations and other entries and documentation reflecting client’s level of care, treatment plan, participation and program toward treatment plan goals, and admission/discharge summaries
a. Conduct and document follow-up telephone calls for missed appointments, absences and/or other client related services
b. Update clinical notes in PATAGONIA within 24 hours after each contact.
c. Provide monthly status reports reflecting client’s progress to referral sources/agencies weekly and/or monthly.
d. Complete PATAGONIA admission, program enrollment and initial treatment plan within 7 days of initial assessment.
Review and negotiate recommended changes with client and present to supervisor for review and signature within 1 week of mandatory review date. Treatment plan reviews are to be completed every 30 days for Level II/I clients and every 90 days for level
