SUMMARY: Working from work orders, blueprints, charts, listings and verbal instructions, performs duties to operate numeric controlled work centers to machine a wide variety of standard and special component parts, which are utilized in all TRD product lines.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: Reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
Rotate between CNC and manual machining centers operating as needed to competently perform and meet production-scheduling requirements.
Assist in the installation of various types of tooling and fixtures into CNC and manual work centers.
Call down CNC programs for CNC work centers.
Cut and position raw materials into machining center fixtures/jaws.
Single block program in dry run before running in automatic.
Operate work centers to perform progressive turning, drilling, milling and tapping operations, which are of average complexity to produce state quantities of component parts.
Monitor ongoing operations through machine cycles and load and unload work centers.
Inspect parts for stated dimensions and surface imperfections.
- Must have successfully completed TRD math, blueprint and gauging.
Previous machining experience.
