Industrial Electrican

Biewer Sawmill Wisconsin is looking to add a full-time Industrial Electrician to our team. This position will install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment in our manufacturing facility.

Accountabilities

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Install, maintain, repair, and modify industrial electrical wiring, equipment, and instrumentation in accordance with relevant codes and from blueprints, schematics, and sketches
• Complete preventative maintenance programs for electrical systems and manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot production equipment (motors, switches, starters, control panel wiring) using electrical and mechanical aptitude, knowledge, and background in high voltage.
• Observe all safety rules, policies, and precautions, report, and correct unsafe work conditions, and complete required safety and regulatory training.
• Offer recommendations and diagnose repairs to make adjustments to industrial controllers including analog and digital programmable logic controllers
• Work with outside contractors and vendors on maintenance projects.
• Communicate with the maintenance team and management to report any equipment is not operating properly.

Qualifications

• PLC Experience is a plus.
• Experience in heavy industrial equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Basic Electrical Theory / Circuits; De-Energization/Lockout
• Applications of Industrial Sensors – Infrared, Proximity, Limit Switches, Etc.
• Electrical Control Systems – Energy Management and Electronic Controls
