Position Summary / Responsibilities: FON Federal is seeking a dynamic leader who is passionate about finding technical solutions that solve our customer’s hardest problems. This role requires a mix of strong technical acumen, pragmatism, and the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical customers in a clear and concise manner.  Typical role responsibilities include:

• Supports program execution as definitive technical authority for all aspects of engineering on all program elements (hardware/software/support/test).
• Supports business captures toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives
• Supports pursuit/proposal efforts by leading the development of innovative system concepts and architectures to meet mission objectives, applying new principles and theories where applicable
• Leads a multi-disciplined engineering team to ensure compliant technical performance
• Solves program unusually/complex technical problems and provides achievable solutions
• Provides technical status/updates and assessment to PMO. Supports PMO in assessing cost and schedule impacts of technical decisions or customer requests

• Ensures program is adhering to engineering processes and best practices in design, development, fabrication/assembly, test and sustainment of products for our customers and is compliant with company policies, procedures, and quality standards
• Serves as the program technical point of contact with our customers 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in systems engineering, with a focus on systems integration and development.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading technical teams and programs.
• Demonstrated expertise in modern software development practices and technologies, to include DevSecOps, virtualized environments (e.g., VMs, AWS, Google Cloud), Dockerization and Container Management (Dockers and Kubernetes), and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRS, Confluence).
• Strong experience working with the integration of AI/ML technologies (e.g. MLOps, AI/ML Harnesses, etc).
• Experience contributing to capture and proposal development activities, including proposal writing and technical volume development.
• Experience leading systems through DoD/IC security accreditation efforts (e.g., ATOs, RMF)
• Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD secret security clearance (US Citizenship Required)

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or business administration
• 20+ years of related technical engineering experience
• Prior active duty military service involving C4ISR systems
• Current & active DoD secret or TS/SCI security clearance

Salary Range: $188,000 USD - $263,000 USD
Employee will be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to
reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results
