About the Job

We are looking for a Database Engineer with a strong technical and database background to efficiently solve challenging problems. The role must specialize in the database engineering function and be responsible for developing, testing, improving, and maintaining new and existing databases to help users retrieve data effectively.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server, TSQL, developer/DBA, stored procedures, views
• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases
• Good network performance modeling or benchmarking skills
• Well versed in object-oriented software languages such as C#
• In-depth understanding of database server architecture, query plans, query rewrites, and tuning parameters
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred

Experience

• Experience with Azure, Azure DevOps
• Perform CI/CD pipelines and deployment management
• Experience with DevOps tools highly desired
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting/diagnosing production database issue
• Experience with ETL with Azure Data Factory and SSIS
• Monitor and maintain database security and authentication
• Maintain and improve existing databases solutions
• Perform unit testing and code reviews
• Follow current and evolving practices and help apply them to existing database solutions
• Experience with scripting languages
