Job Description

Assistant Finance Director

Bethlehem Township Professional accounting, administrative, and supervisory work in busy municipal government office. Conducts all township financial activities accurately, timely, and effectively in conformance with generally accepted accounting principles and sound business practices. Supervises personnel in the functional areas of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, utility billing, cash receipts, and payroll processing. Duties include account reconciliations, cash management, accounting for various funds, monthly financial reports, year-end reports, financial analysis, and audit preparation. The work requires that the employee have considerable knowledge, skill, and ability in all phases of accounting. Auxiliary duties will include grants management process; planning, budgeting, writing, submitting, and tracking.

Required education and experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting, business management, public administration or a related field, plus responsible accounting experience including relevant supervisory experience. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
