Job Description

Job Summary

BMA is currently seeking to hire a Senior Contracts Administrator to join our team to work out of our Huntsville Alabama Office, this is an immediate hire position.

Essential Functions/ PWS Requirement


• Interfaces with customers, vendors, and business partners, conducting proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and contract administration

• Examines proposal requirements and estimates, prepares bids, analyzes terms and conditions to evaluate risk, accuracy, and completeness to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications

• Processes contractual documentation and reports, advises management of contractual rights and obligations, compiles and analyzes data, and maintains historical information

• Working with Teaming Partners and Government customers to develop a smooth transition between responsibilities.

• Prepares weekly and monthly reports and maintains the contracts databases

• Interacts daily with customer representatives

• Close communication with Program managers (PM’s) to understand their contract labor needs.

• Duties may also include the preparation of proprietary information agreements, teaming agreements, export licenses/agreements, and various types of memoranda

• High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years of U.S. Government or DCS contract administration / management experience

• Or Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of U.S. Government or DCS contract administration / management experience

• Demonstrated excellent decision-making skills supporting resolution of complex problems while minimizing risk

• Ability to deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines and work with all levels of employees

• Thorough understanding of the requirements of applicable government regulations, including the FAR and DFARS

• Demonstrated successful skills for proposal development and pricing, risk identification, contract negotiation, customer liaison, budgeting/cost control

• Ability to work independently and make independent decisions, ensuring high levels of collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts

• Strong proposal development skills, solid negotiation skills, and the ability to maintain strong working rapport with internal and external customers

• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance

• Dynamic self-starter with strong attention to detail

Desired Skills, Qualifications & Certifications

• Demonstrated experience in leading people and/or project teams
• Demonstrated understanding of both FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15 Contracting with experience in administration of various contract types (e.g. Time and Material, Cost type, Firm Fixed Price, etc.)
• Experience in ITAR Export Licensing requirements
• Experience in US Government Department of Defense contract administration/management
• Experience with Unanet Financial and Time Keeping System
