BerryDunn is seeking a Senior Consultant/Implementation Project Manager to join our Local Government Practice Group. You will serve as our clients’ Project Manager working with client and vendor teams as they implement enterprise software. This position is planned to sit remotely servicing our client in Tampa, FL. You will report to senior leaders in the Local Government Practice Group.


You will bring a mix of demonstrated project management capabilities, exceptional organizational and self-management qualities, strong leadership capabilities, effective written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to travel. Your experience in one or more of the following areas: local government business processes, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, implementation project management or business process analysis and local government will make you a trusted advisor to our local government clients. Experience with organizational change management is a plus.

 

Travel Expectations: Although BerryDunn consultants are currently not travelling due to the COVID-19 pandemic, at least 50% travel to client sites is anticipated in the future to support projects.


You Will:

  • Lead and support the delivery of services to clients on time, within scope, and within budget, including assigning and managing staff and creating work product
  • Coordinate task assignments based upon management to a vendor’s project plan
  • Communicate project and delivery status to our clients, team members, and other stakeholders, including the facilitation of client meetings
  • Navigate and document decision making processes on behalf of our clients within the project’s established governance structure
  • Participate in marketing and business development activities, including writing blog posts, attending conferences, participating in industry groups, leading/participating in prospective client business development meetings, reviewing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and assisting with go/no-go decision-making, and developing responses to RFPs in collaboration with BerryDunn’s Business Development team

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 or more years’ experience working with local government in one or more of the following areas: enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, implementation project management, or business process analysis
  • Demonstrated experience leading implementation project teams
  • Knowledge of quality assurance/control procedures and demonstrated proactive problem management skills
  • Experience managing challenging projects and serving clients
  • Experience facilitating meetings and public speaking with large groups
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft applications including MS Project
  • Ability to balance multiple assignments and achieve quality results in a timely manner

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree
  • Current PMP certification or equivalent project management experience
