Job Description

Full-time opening for a Customer Service Representative at a Cold Storage Warehouse.

· Must have reliable transportation

· Must be at least 18 years old

· Must be authorized to work in the United States

· Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

Wage: Based on previous work experience and job qualification. References are not required but are preferred.


Customer Service Representatives are a support role for the warehouse and will be responsible for providing Shipping and Receiving assistance in order to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. Customer Service Representatives are responsible for processing orders, researching and resolving customer inquiries and processing the necessary paperwork to complete the shipping or receiving processes.


· Release/print orders for warehouse to pick product

· Answer and respond to all customer communication which includes emails, phone calls, etc. while always maintaining a high level of professionalism

· Verify inbound and outbound schedules maintained in proprietary system

· Review and confirm appointments to ensure level loading and efficient scheduling

· Ensure all orders shipping are attached to their corresponding appointments

· Verify proper documents received from customers prior to releasing orders for inbounds or outbounds

· Posting orders systematically once physically shipped from warehouse system utilizing WMS system

· Report any shortages or overages to customers/carriers during shipping and receiving of goods

· Create, edit and delete customer profiles

· Communicate to customers all shipping and receiving documents using OCR software

· Generate inventory reports upon request

· Work within WMS to create, edit and delete inventory transactions

· Retain all shipping and receiving documents through physical storage and systematic storage/OCR software


· High school diploma or GED required

· Excellent work ethic; ability to work self-directed AND as a team player

· Comfortable using a PC with computer software packages, including Microsoft Office and communicating frequently and effectively via email and phone

· Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

· Professional attitude and the ability to represent the company with integrity

· Must be well-organized with high attention to detail; analytical problem-solving skills preferred

· Must have ability to successfully prioritize workload

· The ability to communicate and write effectively in English, as well as basic math and reading skills

· Flexible work hours

· Dependable with the ability to adapt to change in a dynamic and fast paced environment

· Good attendance is a condition of employment


· Good communication skills, written and verbal

· Good telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills

· Ability to research and resolve issues

· Experience in web-based applications such as Highjump 3PL systems and Microsoft applications

· Experience with warehouse/shipping/receiving processes

· Familiarity with packing slips, BOLs and other various forms that are frequently used and required by major freight carriers
