A quick snapshot about the position: The Managing HR Consultant provides leadership and direction to a team of Client Services Consultants or Analysts to promote a high-performance work culture. The Managing HR Consultant also acts as a trusted advisor, providing affirmative action and related subject matter expertise and support to external clients, and internal Sales, Marketing, and Product Development departments, as appropriate.
Incumbent may serve as a Strategic Advisor or Project Manager, leading assigned affirmative action and/or related consulting project teams. This position manages direct reports of varying levels and experience and is responsible for developing skills and guiding performance. Responsibilities/Duties * Manages a team of consultants across varying levels and ensures the completion of client projects including Affirmative Action Plans, Government Reporting, OFCCP conciliation reporting, adverse impact analyses, AAP related trainings, and may include preliminary pay equity analyses for employers.
Monitors and analyzes metrics such as staff utilization, individual revenue, and project revenue, for continuous quality and productivity improvements at the individual and team levels. Provides ongoing feedback, focused coaching, and direction for all levels of consultants to help develop consulting and project management skills. * Serves as a Strategic Advisor or Project Manager for new and existing large client projects, ensuring efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction.
Serves as an Audit Advisor for OFCCP compliance review projects, including a thorough review of the completed AAP and all technical components required for the applicable type of review. Performs public and private training, webinars, and speaking engagements for clients and industry professional groups. * Writes periodic blog posts on relevant topics or breaking news.
Provides Affirmative Action, HR, and EEO subject matter expertise to Product Support, Sales, and Marketing departments, Client Services staff, clients, and other community members. Required Skills* * Thorough knowledge of current EEO and affirmative action principles and regulations required. * Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required.
Working knowledge of human resource concepts required. Strong people management skills required. * Strong customer service skills are required.
Strong organizational and project management skills are required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required. * Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, required.
Ability to communicate with tact and discretion required. Travel of up to 10% required. Preferred Skills * Thorough understanding of statistical analyses such as calculations of statistical significance.
Thorough knowledge of balanceAAP software preferred. Ability to give and apply feedback effectively to promote positive change. * Ability to conduct public speaking engagements to groups of all sizes.
Ability to perform algebraic and statistical calculations required. Required Experience* * Minimum of 8 years of human resources experience required. * Management experience required.
Preferred Experience Required Education Bachelor's degree in human resources, I/O psychology, or closely related field. Preferred Education Master's degree in human resources, I/O psychology, or closely related field preferred. Preferred Qualifications PHR, SPHR, and/or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
