Busy Family Medicine Practice looking for a part-time (4 days/wk 32 Hrs) back office medical assistant to join our team!
Escorts patients to and from exam rooms and other treatment areas, as appropriate
Records patient data prior to each physician visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies and medication changes
Prepares and stocks exam/treatment rooms
Assists physician with exams and procedures as requested
Administers and properly documents injections
Maintains all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols
Processes instruments and equipment as needed
Answers, responds to and documents patient telephone calls
Schedules patient tests, procedures and appointments for follow-up care as needed
Arranges for pre-authorizations and pre-certifications as needed
Consistently displays excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to provide copy of medical assistant certificate and/or diploma from accredited school
Performs other daily, weekly and monthly functions as deemed necessary
Adheres to professional standards of the company at all times
Positive attitude with providers, peers and administrative team.
Exhibits exemplary customer service skills on a daily basis
Goes above and beyond to maintain and create a positive work atmosphere
Candidate must possess skills in all facets of back office including pediatrics, well child checks, gynecology, injections, EKG's, tympanograms and routine office lab tests, as well as office procedures. Clean/professional appearance is required.
Minimum two years experience required. Must provide references and pass a background check. Only qualified candidates need apply.
