Benjamin R. Harvey Co., Inc. a General Contractor located in Ocean Township, N.J.
is currently seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper with construction experience.
· Accounts Payable: posting, processing & paying of invoices. Bank reconciliations
· Accounts Receivable: monthly AIA billings
· Payroll: process weekly in house, P/R tax deposits and quarterly returns.
· Support full cycle accounting duties, month end close, while ensuring accuracy in the general ledger.
· Prepare 6 month financial statement. Journal entries
· Set up and maintain vendors – acquiring appropriate documentation.
· HR duties processing I-9’s, W-4’s, health insurance & Profit Sharing
· Other duties: filing, reconciliation of company credit cards, bank deposits, sub-contractor audits, project status report & job cost reporting.
· Year-end reports: W2’s, 1099’s and year end schedules for accountants
· Minimum Associates degree in Accounting or Finance
· 5+ years in a construction bookkeeper position
· SAGE software experience a plus
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
· Strong attention to detail, analytical and research skills
· Full time position
