Sales Compensation Specialist
Benefitfocus is looking for a skilled and experienced Sales Compensation Analyst to join our Sales Operations team. As a Sales Compensation Analyst, you will be a key contributor to the annual creation of compensation plans and directly responsible for administering the plans to ensure timely and accurate commission and bonus payments. You must be able to provide insightful analysis that guides the compensation strategy of the Company.
Support the sales organization through administration of Sales Compensation, including research and reporting, business analysis, etc. using defined processes and tools (Salesforce and Callidus)
First-level issue resolution & liaison with the Sales associate and Sales management
Manage day-to-day escalation of commission payments and field inquiries related to deal compensation
Work collaboratively with finance to ensure accuracy of payroll as it relates to sales compensation
Leverage the commission application (Callidus) to its maximum potential
Develop robust analysis that drives immediate change and/or improvements in future compensation design
Model cost and performance impact for new incentive programs and design changes
Develop change recommendations and process improvements for compensation processes.
Develop a standard compensation reporting package that is prepared monthly or quarterly
Publish Sales Leaderboards on a monthly basis
Create and Maintain Documentation for Sales Compensation processes
Comply with all company financial controls and approval processes
Coordinate the organization's Incentive plan governance councils and process, develop and implement incentive compensation governing guidelines and policies.
Develop communication materials and facilitate training to existing employees and new hires on various compensation initiatives and programs.
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related area of study
5+ years of experience or exposure to commission administration and design
1-2+ years of experience using Xactly or Callidus
1-2+ years of experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task with moderate supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
