Job Description Summary:
The Restaurant Manager oversees the daily activities of all restaurant supervisors, servers, bartenders, bar backs and runners.
+ Makes guest internal/external service and guest satisfaction a priority in every aspect of the job.
+ Responds quickly, intelligently, decisively and in accordance with established emergency action plan.
+ Analyzes information concerning facility operation such as daily food sales, guest attendance and labor dollars to effectively manage day to day cost controls and facility operation.
+ Inspects and maintains the restaurant on a daily basis for safety, health standards, equipment maintenance, and facility appearance.
+ Conducts end-of-month inventory, including paper, linen, cleaning supplies, beverage supplies and catering supplies.
+ Interact with guests, anticipate guest's needs and provide creative solutions to resolve guest complaints.
+ Ensures that guest satisfaction and product quality is upheld.
+ Interviews new hire applicants and selects new staff members.
+ Provides effective service and safety training and motivational direction to all staff members within the food and beverage department.
+ Creates and maintains consistent work schedules for staff members.
+ Coordinates periodic staff meetings for staff members ensuring the department is current on service standards and company policy.
+ Distributes daily work assignments.
+ Ensures staff adherence to Waves Resort uniform standards, and maintain an expectation of consistency within the food and beverage department.
+ Enforces disciplinary policy according to Waves Resort conduct and performance guidelines.
+ Provides documentation of staff member occurrences, disciplinary action taken and terminations to the Staff Services department in a timely fashion.
+ Creates and maintains a culture of safe work practices.
+ Conduct and/or assists with all aspects of inventory control, including ordering, receiving, counting and forecasting.
