Full Stack Engineer

Based in Charlotte, NC and recently voted "Best Places to Work," our client is a medical technology company that has developed a unique solution for a specific niche. Their software / hardware combination product serves as a critical connecter between manufacturers and practitioners.

As a result of continued success and growth, they are seeking at least Full Stack Engineers to function in a hands on role while leads small team pods. Tech Stack includes:

• Python (Django) for REST APIs
• JavaScript (Vue.js) for SPAs
• PostgreSQL for relational databases
• C++ for embedded firmware
• Redis for message brokering
• Kafka for data streaming
• GitHub for SCM
• Slack for team comms
• Heroku + GCP for compute/hosting

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Web and API development with a variety of languages including but not limited to JavaScript and Python, and using frameworks such as Vue.js and Django
• Contribute to architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems
• Collaborating with team members to deliver according to the team’s technical roadmap

REQUIREMENTS

• Extensive experience in Python-based backend technologies (Django, Flask, etc.)
• Proven experience in building Single Page Applications with frameworks such as Vue.js
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related experience
• 2+ years of professional experience in software development, OSS experience, or equivalent side projects
• Good engineering practices, attention to detail, and testing practices
• Comfortable with Git, REST APIs, and relational databases
• Comfortable integrating several external services to build an application
