Juvenile Services – Secretary I

Position, Level, and Annual Salary:

Group 53, Steps 3–7

$26,424 - $29,736 per year

($12.6552 - $14.2414 per hour)

Brief Job Description:

Completes general office administration and support. This includes and is not limited to: telephone duties, data entry, typing, filing, photocopying, faxing, fee and restitution collection and/or deposits, as applicable, supply orders, and any other clerical related functions.

Basic Qualification Requirements:

  1. Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D.

  2. Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite Applications.

  3. Must be able to file, record, and have some knowledge of financial transactions (i.e., ledger-typing posting for maintaining restitution and budget records).

  4. Must be able to handle telephone traffic with acceptable protocol.

  5. Must have a valid Driver’s License and proof of liability insurance;

  6. Must have the ability to work with a diverse population.

  7. Must be of good moral character.

  8. No staff member may possess while on duty any firearm, illegal weapons, or chemical agents.
