What you’ll do:
The Alumni Counselor will work with readmissions by enrolling clients back into our program and following up with clients regularly after graduating our program. The Alumni Counselor will make outbound calls, care for inbound calls, work with clients to help them step down from program to program, set up aftercare upon graduating the program, interact with clients on a regular basis, coordinate events, and make post discharge follow up calls . This role is suitable for an energetic, positive, outgoing individual who enjoys being on the phone, encouraging others, and celebrating the small steps that lead to success. An unlicensed Therapist would be a great fit for this role!
Develop and maintain the alumni database, including family contacts
Make follow-up calls to former clients at 7 days, 30 days, 60 days and 90 days post treatment
Implement and report on alumni surveys (outcomes, candidates for re-admission, etc.)
Promote the alumni program to clients currently in treatment
Facilitate monthly virtual and in-person meetings, events and community service activities for local alumni chapter
Encourage participation and moderate alumni groups on Facebook, offer constructive interaction/support and refer to additional treatment when appropriate
Increase alumni referrals of friends/family and implement related internal customer service initiatives (example: VIP alumni hotline, popping client record upon inbound call to personalize conversation)
Establish and grow Alumni Ambassador Program - clients willing to share their recovery story, speak at local events, etc. to increase awareness, remove stigma and inspire hope
Grow percentage of alumni posting positive reviews on Google
Develop content for a monthly alumni email newsletter
Share videos and photos with the marketing team to post on social media
Identify opportunities to promote treatment services and programs in the local community
Develop monthly reports on active alumni participation
Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred
Outbound calling experience
Addiction Counseling experience preferred
Knowledge of the addiction recovery and the 12-Step Program
Excellent organizational skills, with ability to prioritize workload
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse individuals and groups
Must have strong presentation/speaking skills
Understands need for and maintains appropriate confidentiality at all times when interacting with alumni members, families, and all other contacts in accordance to Patient's Rights and HIPAA
Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Access and Publisher
Social Media or Content Writing experience preferred
Ability to work onsite at our locations in the Dallas metro area and the flexibility to work one or more days per week in Ennis, Waxahachie, and Dallas; possibility of working remote up to 2 days per week
