Job Description

This position reports directly to the Beemak Accounting Manager, and is responsible for performing responsibilities that are related to both a Jr Staff Accountant role with some additional Inventory oversight. The Jr Staff role will include working with Account Receivables, Trial Balance, journal entries, assist with month/year-end closings as well as reconciliations within the general ledger; updating statements at month-end. The Inventory aspects may cover assisting Operations with physical inventory counts, reconciling inventory locations, costs of sales, and analyzing various costs.

 

Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Analysis & reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts monthly and quarterly, as well as resolving discrepancies when they arise;

  • Support AR Analyst role and/or responsibilities; to insure accuracy of subsidiary, recording of related AR activity in the trial balance and achievement of DSO targets

  • Prepare & enter journal entries using account analysis for assigned general ledger accounts to facilitate timely month end close.

  • Obtain exchange rates and maintain in accounting system of Beemak and responsible to revalue subsidiary ledgers at current exchange rates.

  • Monitor intercompany accounts to ensure they reconcile to all divisions before turning in for Hyperion upload

  • Document procedures and update as defined by Controller

  • Work as needed to provide audit documentation

  • Prepares monthly cost of sales figures by analyzing material, labor, and research and development expense

  • Assists with quarterly and year-end physical inventory process.

  • Assists with regulatory reporting and compliance.

  • Support annual cost rates Item Master File as needed.

  • Review of job costs effected by the BOMs and Routings to identify errors and potential improvements in each project

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications and/or Skills Required

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

  • Associated Degree in Accounting minimum; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting a plug

  • Minimally 5 years’ experience in a relevant position

  • Strong working knowledge of Accounting principles, practices, procedures, ,

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills

  • Have a solid working knowledge of ERP, computerized Accounting

  • Advanced user of Excel and solid use of other applications in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Work well in a multi-tasking environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
