IMMEDIATE NURSING OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE IN NORTH DAKOTA!

Full time, permanent openings in both the Hospital (Level II Trauma Center) and Long Term Care! Start dates 30-90 days out!

Not-for-profit integrated health system in North Dakota is seeking compassionate, caring and dedicated nurses who are interested in permanent, full time opportunities! Serving northwest/central North Dakota and eastern Montana, this tertiary care hospital and long term care facility provides a full complement of healthcare services to the region. And coming in 2021, a brand new, state-of-the-art hospital/medical district will begin offering services, well into the future!

HOSPITAL OPPORTUNITIES:

  • PACU - The Professional Registered Nurse is under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge, the PACU coordinator and the Vice President of Surgical Services in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, supervising and documenting the care of patients including those in the following age groups: neonatal, infancy, childhood, adolescent, adult and geriatric. This care will be delivered in accordance with established standards of performance. Participation in quality management, in-service, safety and cost management is ongoing. The nurse is responsible for peri-operative care consistent with peri-operative nursing standards. New graduates will be enrolled in the Nurse Residency program and expected to graduate from the program.
  • SURGICAL - Responsible for the assessment, evaluation of the data collected, and the continuum of care through: monitoring and evaluating changes in patient's condition, evaluation of patient responses to therapy, and the discharge process. The RN may delegate selected nursing activities to other health care workers, but retains the responsibility and accountability for the overall nursing care. When activities are delegated by the RN, the RN remains responsible for the delegation, supervision and evaluation of those activities. New graduates will be enrolled in the Nurse Residency program and expected to graduate from the program. This is the ideal starting position for a new nurse who would like to eventually move into other units, such as the NICU, the OR, etc.
  • MEDICAL - Responsible for the assessment, evaluation of the data collected, and the continuum of care through: monitoring and evaluating changes in patient's condition, evaluation of patient responses to therapy, and the discharge process. The RN may delegate selected nursing activities to other health care workers, but retains the responsibility and accountability for the overall nursing care. When activities are delegated by the RN, the RN remains responsible for the delegation, supervision and evaluation of those activities. New graduates will be enrolled in the Nurse Residency program and expected to graduate from the program.
  • LABOR & DELIVERY - Responsible for the assessment, evaluation of the data collected, and the continuum of care through: monitoring and evaluating changes in patient's condition, evaluation of patient responses to therapy, and the discharge process. The RN may delegate selected nursing activities to other health care workers, but retains the responsibility and accountability for the overall nursing care. When activities are delegated by the RN, the RN remains responsible for the delegation, supervision and evaluation of those activities. Prior L&D/Mother Baby experience is preferred.
  • KIDNEY DIALYSIS - Responsible for the assessment, evaluation of the data collected, and the continuum of care through: monitoring and evaluating changes in patient's condition, evaluation of patient responses to therapy, and the discharge process. The RN may delegate selected nursing activities to other health care workers, but retains the responsibility and accountability for the overall nursing care. When activities are delegated by the RN, the RN remains responsible for the delegation, supervision and evaluation of those activities. New graduates will be enrolled in the Nurse Residency program and expected to graduate from the program.
  • REHAB - Responsible for the assessment, evaluation of the data collected, and the continuum of care through: monitoring and evaluating changes in patient's condition, evaluation of patient responses to therapy, and the discharge process. The RN may delegate selected nursing activities to other health care workers, but retains the responsibility and accountability for the overall nursing care. When activities are delegated by the RN, the RN remains responsible for the delegation, supervision and evaluation of those activities. New graduates will be enrolled in the Nurse Residency program and expected to graduate from the program.
  • NICU TRANSITIONAL - Responsible for the assessment, evaluation of the data collected, and the continuum of care through: monitoring and evaluating changes in patient's condition, evaluation of patient responses to therapy, and the discharge process. The RN may delegate selected nursing activities to other health care workers, but retains the responsibility and accountability for the overall nursing care. When activities are delegated by the RN, the RN remains responsible for the delegation, supervision and evaluation of those activities. Minimum of 1 year prior NICU experience in required. Will also consider a new grad RN if they were a surgical tech in the hospital PRIOR to becoming an RN.
  • RN/FLOAT POOL - The float pool RN is competent and accountable for the overall health status of patients assigned to her/his care. Responsible for the assessment, evaluation of the data collected, and the continuum of care through: monitoring and evaluating changes in patient's condition, evaluation of patient responses to therapy, and the discharge process. The RN may delegate selected nursing activities to other health care workers, but retains the responsibility and accountability for the overall nursing care. When activities are delegated by the RN, the RN remains responsible for the delegation, supervision and evaluation of those activities. New graduates will be enrolled in the Nurse Residency program and expected to graduate from the program. The float pool RN will be assigned daily to a nursing unit by the nursing supervisor.

LONG TERM CARE OPPORTUNITIES:

This 230-bed facility is one of North Dakota's largest long-term care facilities, providing services to promote the health, safety, self-esteem and dignity of nursing home residents and their families. Services include:

  • Alzheimer's/Memory Care Unit
  • Fully-staffed Activities Center
  • Medical and Rehabilitative Therapy Services
  • Retirement Units.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

All positions require a current or temporary RN license in North Dakota or a compact, multi-state RN license. In most cases, The North Dakota Board of Nursing is very quick to issue temp licenses. BLS certification required within orientation period, specialty certification in area of practice is desirable and special skills or training as required by specific units may also be required.
