This is a unique opportunity for a motivated SEO Specialist to join an early-stage startup and to work on the product launch as a for a summer internship. The ideal candidate will have a wide-ranging skill set, be excited about all aspects of design, and possess a deep knowledge of all the functional areas of SEO. The most important skills for this role are technical SEO, CMS platforms, content, UX design, links, analytics, and reporting. There will be a fair share of content work and the Technical SEO must be able to understand company / product differentiation points and be able to distill what is important on each page into appropriate character limits. This role is a remote Work from Home position and a typical day will include managing the CMS, completing technical SEO work, reporting on trends.
Manage organic search engine performance and goal achievement based on on-site search term ranks, impressions, visibility, click-through rates, sessions, and conversions
Perform on and off page technical SEO audits and analysis.
Perform keyword research and grow our targeted unbranded keyword portfolio.
Optimize pages with SEO-friendly content including meta tags, alt tags, and header tags
Engage and optimize in areas like site architecture, content, link management, and indexing.
Analyze our website ecosystem and identify opportunities to optimize site structure and content for improved discoverability.
Conduct competitor analysis to identify gaps in our content coverage and areas of opportunity.
Reporting on a weekly and monthly basis
Skills & Attributes:
Experience working with Wordpress content management system and building/administering content
Proven experience delivering unique, polished, high-caliber visual designs with limited direction
Strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) process
Experience in building & managing ad campaigns in Google Ads, Facebook, and LinkedIn
Proficient in Google Analytics/Search Console and other keyword tools such as SEMrush
Passionate about SEO and proactive in staying up to date on all the latest trends and best practices
Immediate understanding and knowledge of how to apply SEO
Experienced with SEO tools
Skilled in Google Search Console (GSC), knowing how to pull data and actionable insight from the console reports
Strong analytical abilities and deep experience with web analytic tools like PowerBI
Hands-on understanding of online marketing including web, blogging, online advertising and search
Strong writing, editing and research skills
A self-starter who learns quickly and is comfortable with rapidly evolving expectations
Organizational skills and the ability to manage many projects at a time
MS Office Suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
An inquiring mind with a strong desire to learn
