Job Description

We are seeking a Community Technical Support Specialist to join our team! You will assist with various communication and/or technological needs through the department.. 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the department's website is responsive and renders properly on all electronic devices;
  • Ensure that the website meets all standards identified by the Americans with Disabilities Act;
  • Collaborate with the Department's Public Information Officer to assure website security, capacity and content is up-to-date and meets agency standards;
  • Assist the IT Support Officer with various items such as setting up new computers, installing and troubleshooting printers and scanners, providing basic IT support when the IT support officer is unavailable;
  • Manage the department's handheld radio communications (preference will be given to candidates with a HAM license).

Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of HTML and programming languages;
  • Skilled in WordPress (management system used for current website);
  • Proficient with design software such as Photoshop and Illustrator;
  • Familiar with web servers and how they operate;
  • Experience in digital marketing and social media platforms.
