Veterinary Assistant (Internal Medicine)

Beacon Veterinary Specialists is a well-established veterinary emergency specialty practice in Fremont, CA. We are in search of a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team to provide support for our internal medicine department!

We’re offering a competitive hourly rate of $25-30/hr based on experience, along with training/career growth potential and comprehensive benefits. The schedule for this position would be a training schedule of Monday - Thursday from 7:00 am - 5:30 pm for the duration of 8 weeks. Upon the completion of training, it would transition to a regular schedule of Monday - Thursday from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm.

Your primary responsibilities:

• Running appointments within the Internal Medicine Department

• Assisting with patient care for hospitalized patients

• Anesthesia Monitoring

• Performing or assisting in physical examinations

• Client communication and education

• Recommendation of treatment plans with estimated costs

• Carrying out tasks as requested by the Veterinarian
