QUALIFICATIONS

1. Baccalaureate degree, Registered Nurse license, and at least 3 years of full-time experience in behavioral health management, inpatient or outpatient.

2. or Registered Nurse license and at least 5 years of behavioral health management

experience.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

GENERAL HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATION

  • Responsible for overall hospital operations, commensurate with the authority conferred by the VP of Operations and under the supervision of the VP of Operations.

  • Organizes and directs all hospital functions with assistance, when applicable, from the Medical Director, Director of Nursing, and Director of Social Services.

  • Ensures appropriate admission, discharge and transfer of patients by assuring Director of Nursing is coordinating and facilitating treatment team meetings and approving admissions recommended by the Intake Coordinator and appropriate referrals are facilitated either within the psychiatric continuum of care or to a recommended medical facility.

  • Ensures quality of services by assuring QAPI staff effectively coordinates and/or facilitates identified compliance audits as established in the QAPI plan.

  • As directed by Form/Policy and Procedure Review Committee, assists in the development, revision and ongoing interpretation of policies and procedures including the implications of proposed policies. Ensures the effective and effacement implementation of all policies and procedures.

  • Is involved in client grievance resolution. If/when hospital staff and when applicable, Director of Nursing is unable to effectively resolve grievances the Program Director will meet with client/caregiver in attempt to resolve issues.

  • Plans with other health service entities and develops promotes supportive approach to client service and care.

  • Ensures highest standard of care provided by verifying clinical competency of all staff and monitoring outcomes. Reports inadequacies immediately to Governing Board of Directors and participates in corrective plan of action.

  • Reviews and approves all clinic payroll and submits to Payroll Department in accordance with policy.
