Study Operations Specialist
The primary responsibilities of this role, (Study Operations Specialist), are to:

  • Act as a process owner for assigned critical processes utilized by CDO(e.g. RBM,ASP,Qbd)
  • Provide strategic business input into development and implementation, with a critical eye towards streamlining and decomplexing the process landscape;
  • Analyze process performance measures and qualitative end user feedback to determine necessary improvements;
  • Maintain expert knowledge of industry best practices including identification of potential supportive technology;
  • Deliver operational subject matter expertise to study teams;
  • Lead GCPM/StM/SLM through study process framework throughout study lifetime;
  • Provide consultation on key study process topics;
  • Ensure consistent application of critical processes across study teams;
  • Share process best practices/lessons learned across teams;
  • Supply hands-on hyper-care and extended-care for critical new initiatives (e.g.RBM, ASP);
  • Support champions continuous improvement culture and acts as change agent to promote adoption of new processes within the CDO organization;
  • Manage and mentor junior team members as required, including performing onboarding activities, sharing process knowledge, advising on strategic decisions, delivering constructive feedback and evaluating team member progress;
  • Facilitate study kick-off and start-up meetings upon request, enabling positive and productive interaction between global cross functional team members;
  • Serve as a liaison for Study Start-up and Conduct Specialists (SSUC) to study teams (i.e. StM/SLM);
  • Drive successful engagement with study team;
  • Ensure study-relevant SSUC deliver through optimizing design, implementation, and application of critical study processes, the Study Operations Specialist will facilitate faster and more compliant operational execution of studies, thereby supporting the organization in meeting the challenges of the increasingly complex and demanding business environment;
  • Be responsible to charge with developing relevant processes and efficient operational strategy.

Required Qualifications:
  • Must have a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with ten years of relevant healthcare experience including at least eight years of relevant clinical operations experience;
  • Expert understanding of global clinical operations processes;
  • Strategic mindset to ensure deliverables are aligned with overarching vision of CDO function;
  • Flexibility to rapidly adapt to changing business needs and priorities;
  • Effective analytical skills to identify, evaluate, and propose innovative solutions to issues;
  • Proven ability to initiate and lead teams/projects to achieve desired results;
  • Proactive, client-focused approach to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction;
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and comprehensively assess effects of diverse operational scenarios;
  • Ability to present and communicate comfortably with senior management;
  • Able to collaborate effectively within a multi-cultural, global, matrix organization;
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills with an ability to summarize and explain complex information;
  • Proficient facilitation skills.
