Provide and/or assist participants with bathing, transferring, toileting, grooming, and other personal care needs.
Perform delegated tasks including medication administration under the direction of the RN.
Accompany, support and transport participants to access social activities, shopping, dining, community events, medical appointments, church programs, concerts, and other activities of individual interests.
Assist participants to understand money management skills, reading, appropriate social interactions, daily living skills and other skills.
Assist participants to make personal choices and to schedule activities.
Communicate effectively with participants, families, managers, and other staff.
Assist participants with house cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and household tasks.
Monitor health of participants and report concerns immediately to supervisor.
Assist people to obtain and keep employment.
Complete all required documentation and reports timely and accurately
Qualifications:
Certified Nursing Assistant with one years experience
Experience working with people with physical and mental disabilities
Certificated Medication Technician preferred
High School Diploma
Valid Driver's License
Must 21 year old or older
Positive Work Ethic
Knowledge of American Sign language preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Good team player
