As the next Director of Finance, you will lead a small team that handles AP and AR but you will be responsible for the day to day accounting through month-end as well as the financial analysis, planning, and reporting. Every day you will work closely with the CEO to create and direct company strategy and will also regularly interact with the private equity investors to keep them apprised of the financials.
To thrive in this role you must be capable of being strategic and tactical, be able to handle a high volume of work, be able to commute to Southern San Francisco, have experience in general accounting as well as budgeting & forecasting, and have experience managing bank covenants. It would be great if you started your career in investment banking, went back for your MBA, moved into private equity, and then left to work in corporate at a small company where you worked on everything. We know that’s a lot to ask so having three of those will warrant an interview with us to dig deeper into your background.
Here’s what you can expect:
● To be part of the leadership team and be involved in strategic decisions. You’ve been involved in these discussions previously and should have worked in private equity or with a private equity or venture capital backed company.
● Day to day accounting, month end close, budgeting, forecasting, and preparing monthly financial reporting packages for the Board.
● Every day to look a little different. You know that managing a small team means working in the trenches at times and you enjoy that.
Do you currently live in the Greater San Francisco area? (candidates outside of the area will not be considered). Have you worked in investment banking, private equity, and/or for a private equity backed organization? Have you led the accounting/finance function for a smaller organization? If this is your background then you should apply to this job now.
