Job Description

The Customer Service Coordinator is the front-line contact with customers of Bay Center. This position receives and enters sales orders and has regular interaction with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and timely processing and delivery. This individual will resolve order issues, account questions, billing, shipping damages, complaints, and cancellations. Additionally, this individual will support inventory reconciliation for finished goods and use Oracle and MES to support essential job functions and analysis.  The primary external contacts for this role will be buyers at various distributors, industrial customers, transportation dispatchers, and freight carriers. Internal to Bay Center, this role will work closely with distribution, finance, quality, and manufacturing team members. This position will report to the Team Leader, Demand & Supply.

Bay Center is establishing a state-of-the-art food processing production facility to create critical product components for an existing business and create new B2B revenue streams. This position is based in Valencia, CA.  

Job Responsibilities & Activities:

  • Ownership of key steps in the Order to Cash process
  • Answer customer & sales inquiries
  • Onboard new customers
  • Resolve product or order details
  • Issue resolution with orders, inventory and shipping
  • Customer relationship management
  • Work with sales on order visibility and inventory availability
  • Work with carriers to ensure on-time pick-up and on-time delivery attainment
  • EDI issue resolution
  • Maintain and update function-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Generate and report on key KPIs related to customer experience and customer scorecards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma
  • 3-5 years of experience in customer facing role
  • Order management experience in Oracle, SAP or similar ERP system (preferred)
  • Knowledge of EDI (preferred)
  • Knowledge of demand and supply planning (preferred)
  • Knowledge of basic transportation and warehousing processes (preferred)
  • Knowledge of freight tendering and dispatch (preferred)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent telephone communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
