Job Description Baton Rouge Water Company is searching for an experienced Customer Service Representative with excellent customer service skills to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in a call center or customer service related experience and will be bi-lingual (ability to speak, write and read English and Spanish). The Customer Service Representative is responsible for handling various customer inquiries via telephone regarding the status of their accounts.
Additionally, the Customer Service Representative assists the department in the collection of past due accounts. They are responsible to counsel customers for up-to-date payment arrangements on all incoming and outgoing phone contacts. Essential Skills, Duties and Responsibilities Inbound call center.
Effectively and efficiently communicate with people at all levels, verbally, in writing and in person. Provide effective customer service (friendliness, tact and diplomacy). Learn, apply and communicate knowledge of products and services.
Input and retrieve data via computer. Handle incoming calls from customers with questions regarding their account status. Resolve customer complaints.
Work with delinquent accounts in accordance with departmental guidelines, and applicable laws and regulations. Collect payments and process orders. Cash handling responsibilities.
Education and Experience 2-4 years of Customer Service experience. Some college credits a plus. Call center preferred.
Starting pay is $19.73/ hour. We offer a competitive benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance as well as a 401k. Paid vacation and paid holidays are also included.
