Quality Engineer Supporting Commercial Space

The Quality Engineer will support Commercial Space Flight in Lewisville, Colorado.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure all quality standards are met for our products and production equipment.
• Participate in the designing and testing of processes, mechanisms, equipment, and development of standardized quality acceptance criteria.
• Write inspection procedures, assist in reviewing and evaluating in-process rejections, obtain dispositions, and implement corrective actions, as well as participate in audits.
• Provide support during planning, organizing, and conducting of projects involving the design and development of new evaluations, control processes utilizing statistical analysis, and other control/risk mitigation techniques.
• Other duties as required.

There are six QE opportunities with support as follows; you must clearly indicate which area(s) of expertise and work shifts you wish to be considered for.

1 - 2nd shift QE with expertise in propulsion/fluids.

1 - 2nd shift QE with expertise in thermal protection systems.

1 - 2nd shift QE with expertise in electrical systems.

1 - 1st shift QE with general aerospace experience.

2 - weekend night shift QEs with general aerospace experience.

REQUIRED:

• Your resume submission must clearly indicate which area(s) of expertise and work shifts you wish to be considered for.
• This position requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident experience due to the sensitivity of customer related information.
• Must have a bachelor's degree in the field of engineering, or a related field.
• Must have 3+ years of recent and related work experience; higher education levels can be substituted for relevant work experience.

WORK LOCATION:

• This position is located onsite.
• Some travel may be required.

DESIRED:

• Experience in formal corrective actions, process improvement methods, kaizen, or similar.
• Six Sigma green belt certification or higher.
• Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance may be required.
• Knowledge of quality system requirements and contract quality requirements.
• Experience in manufacturing and inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures.
• Knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100 standards.

STANDARD BASTION REQUIREMENTS:

In addition, they must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and must be organized with good time management skills.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS REQUIRED:

All Bastion employees must be able to pass a national agency check, some positions require a clearance and will require an extensive background verification/check process.

DRUG AND ALCOHOL SCREENING REQUIRED:

All Bastion employees must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen; some contracts require participation in periodic random drug and alcohol screening programs.

SALARY RANGE:

$100,000 - $120,000
