POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Account Executive, the Quality Assurance Tester plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through testing and analysis, identifying defects and potential areas for improvement. The Quality Assurance Tester will develop and execute test plans, conduct various types of testing, and collaborate closely with development teams to resolve issues and maintain product integrity through the development lifecycle.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on project requirements and user stories.
  • Execute manual and automated tests to verify software functionality, performance, reliability, and usability.
  • Identify, document, and track defects and issues found during testing, ensuring they are properly prioritized and resolved.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, resolve issues, and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Perform regression testing to validate fixes and verify that new features do not introduce unintended side effects.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to uncover hidden defects and ensure the overall quality of the software.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to provide feedback and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, tools, and techniques for software testing and quality assurance.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in software quality assurance and testing methodologies, including manual and automated testing techniques.
  • Candidates with active Clearance (MBI preferred) are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or HP Quality Center.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, isolate, and reproduce defects.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow test plans and procedures accurately.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, or Cypress, is a plus.
