Shipping Assistant
- $18 Hourly
- Full-Time
We are currently looking to fill a Shipping Assistant role with a company in West Tulsa that specializes in the manufacturing of poles for street lighting and traffic control.
The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse logistics & being able to operate appropriate equipment to move materials. The right individual will have a motivated mindset to work at an efficient pace & be available to help in any area of the warehouse.

Hours: 5:00a - 3:30p, Monday - Thursday
Pay: $18.50
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading material and shipments.
- Prepare & tag shipments with appropriate documentation from JDE.
- Operating forklift and crane.
- General product cleaning and upkeep of shipping and warehouse areas.
- Performs any other job duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to use many different types of tools & have the knowledge to know when to use what tool on which piece of equipment.
- Knowledge & skill of the operation of forklifts and cranes.
- Knowledge & skill of the operation of grinders & a variety of hand tools.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards & safety rules.
- Knowledge of shop safety as normally acquired through 6 months to 1 year of shop experience.
- Able to operate a forklift
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to read a tape measure
- Able to operate a crane (onsite training available)
- Work is generally performed in a warehouse environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
- Overtime when required
