Salary: $60,000 annually

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Project Management, as an agency function, provides day-to-day Client and Account Manager support by organizing and coordinating project pieces, timelines, and details. A great project manager will be a strong decision-maker, meticulous, and a great communicator. You will work closely with internal teams and clients as needed to ensure that project goals are accomplished on time and on budget and that expectations are exceeded. Flexibility, willingness to learn, comfort with change, and the ability to work with a high volume of projects are characteristics of success in this position.

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • The Project Manager at Barker & Christol will enter projects, traffic them for missing elements, monitor project statuses daily and communicate issues/opportunities regularly. 
  • Train (some guided and some independent) on our management software – Workfront.
  • Facilitate the flow of content from accounts/client to creative for monthly/quarterly publications.
  • Checks initial project creation for accuracy and requests additional information when needed.
  • Work closely with Operations team to create detailed schedules, assign tasks, and set deadlines for projects.
  • Identify potential project issues (roadblocks) and pro-actively work with team members to address potential risks.
  • Continually monitors jobs throughout the Traffic Process including:

      - Expediting rush jobs

      - Monitoring stalled jobs and moving them forward

      - Monitoring information flow through all departments accuracy/information check at each revision

      - Issuing appropriate reminders about due dates

      - Obtaining specs, closing and delivery details when not otherwise provided

      - Coordinating with Account Service on the close/completion of a job, and ensuring that jobs are marked as Complete and archived within 30 days of completion. 

  • Approaches everything with a positive, can-do attitude and firmly dedicated to the best interest of the agency and our clients acting as a bridge between Account Service and Creative functions.
  • Keep the flow of information open, honest and transparent

  • Reliability - Be responsible for your work habits, including the time you arrive and leave work. Our normal business hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Listening Skills - Ability to fully listen to colleagues and leadership and understand all expectations regarding performance of work activities and service to clients. Take constructive criticism and grow professionally.
  • Honesty and Integrity - Gain the trust of clients and coworkers and strive to be ethical in all decisions.
  • Time management skills - Ability to effectively manage time and prioritization tasks. Track time spent on jobs in ProWorkFlow daily.
  • Confidentiality - Maintain in confidence any business knowledge, owned by either the client or agency, gained as a result of employment.



REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-4 years experience in Project Management, or Traffic role (agency experience is preferred)
  • Exceptional organizational skills and extreme attention to detail
  • General knowledge of marketing and creative processes (print/digital processes knowledge a plus, but not required)
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously in an environment with changing business demands.
  • Knowledge of project management software (WorkFront preferred)
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, make sound decisions and multi-task

 


PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to sit / stand for 8 hours. •  Walking, bending, light lifting up to 50 lbs.
