The Accountant II Position Prepares and issues monthly financial
statements. Responsible for monthly journal entries and analytical
review of general ledger accounts to include the P&L and Balance Sheet.
Responsible for assisting with federal, state, and local reporting
requirements for all Baptist Health companies which includes preparation
of corporate, partnership, 5500, 990, and 990-T returns. Assists with
year end audit to include analysis, audit report and footnotes. Assists
with the audits of the benefit plans of Baptist Health. Works closely
with Department Managers and Administrators to review financial data.
Provide educational assistance regarding financials or financial
software to managers. Assists with the training of staff accountants.
Completes other special projects as assigned by the CFO, Director of
Finance, or Controller.
Education / Experience: BS in Business Administration with Major in
Accounting or equivalent experience. Certified Public Accountant
recommended or equivalent industry experience. 4 years experience in
public or industrial.
License / Certification: none
