Overview

The Lead, Solutions Engineer will lead the onboarding of the largest Retailers and Financial Institutions in the US. The role will work closely with the Sales team to provide technical product knowledge and support during the closing sales / post sales process as well as lead onboarding of Retailer and Financial Institution data. The role will work closely with the Data Operations and Product teams to ensure their processes integrate properly into Banyan systems and best practices, as well as to provide feedback on potential optimizations in Banyan's technology and process. This role will own all of the technical aspects of the sales process as well as the onboarding of data from Retailers, Financial Institutions, and/or supply partners. This role will begin with hands-on, individual contributor work, and grow into an opportunity to hire and/or lead Junior Solution Engineering roles to support Retailer and Financial Institutions onboarding in Banyan's rapidly growing network. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record of scaling and onboarding SaaS, loyalty, or analytics solutions.

This position will be remote, with flexibility to use Banyan's home office in Holmdel, NJ, or in WeWork locations across the country.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical pre and post-sales processes in alignment with Sales
  • Write detailed technical documentation and solution design
  • Design, adapt, and code demo environments
  • Design and lead client integrations and data onboarding in conjunction with the Data Operations team.
  • Research and architect new strategic solutions utilizing Banyan Enriched Data
  • Consult with clients on best practices around storing, handling and applying Banyan Enriched Data to their enterprise initiatives.
  • Collaborate and communicate with product and engineering colleagues to influence client success initiatives within the product roadmap
  • Build processes for tracking team impact metrics and efficiency

Qualifications

  • BA and equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years of client facing technical role
  • Prior experience in Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer / Consultant role.
  • Hands-on coding/data analysis experience (e.g. python).
  • Hands-on experience in web services, APIs, and related standards such as HTTP and REST
  • Hands-on experience in cloud environments (e.g. Google Cloud Project, Amazon s3)
  • A background that combines business experience and technical acumen
  • Strong technical writing and communications skills with a confident and proactive approach to client management
  • Ability to understand new technologies and complex concepts quickly
  • Project/sales management experience (e.g. JIRA, Asana, Salesforce)
  • Strong collaborative skills, able to work across a rapidly growing company
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership and accountability, and act on client goals and objectives in a technical environment
  • Self-motivated; entrepreneurial spirit.
